At Well Medical Arts we require that all clients pre condition their skin with our recommended skin care to achieve optimum results prior to any series of BBL (Broad Band Light) or other light based treatments. The SkinCeuticals‘ Brightening Skin System includes everything for most of our pigmentation clients to properly pre condition their skin and is included in all of our BBL packages. This pre conditioning of the skin improves the health of the skin, enhances it’s photo immunity properties and lets us give you a safer, more predictable and effective treatment.

SkinCeuticals’ Brightening Skin System is a four-step regimen that combats the appearance of discoloration and skin tone unevenness.
SkinCeuticals’ Brightening Skin System includes:
- Phloretin CF (30 ml): A antioxidant serum that improves the health of the skin, lifts hyperpigmentation and builds collagen and elastin.
- Discoloration Defense (30 ml): Lifts pigment and reduces inflammation.
- Retinol 0.5 (30 ml): A light exfoliant that helps speed up skin cell turnover, exfoliating the skin so the light Can penetrate and make the treatment more effective.
- Physical Fusion UV Defense SPF 50 (50 ml): A broad-spectrum sunscreen that prevents sun damage and keeps the skin safe in between treatments.

Tip: Retinol is photosensitizing—using broad-spectrum sun protection is a must when retinol is part of your skin care regimen. As a precaution, retinol products should not be used by pregnant women, or women who intend to become pregnant in the near future. Though there are no reports of topical retinol having any negative effect on fetal development, some problems have been reported with ingested retinoic acid.
NOTICE! Retinol should be discontinued for 7 days prior to any BBL treatment.
