Who is a good candidate for this treatment?
If you have concerns about hollowness and/or loss of volume due to aging, weight loss, or facial lipoatrophy you’re most likely a candidate for Sculptra. While most Sculptra patients are middle-aged, men and women as young as their 20’s have experienced success from treatment too. A consultation is required prior to treatment to be sure that Sculptra is the right treatment for you.
When will I see my results?
Results are not immediate. Results generally take 4-6 months, depending upon a variety of factors, like volume loss and age. Patients will continue seeing changes through the 9th month, and at that time full results are expected.
Sculptra is not for patients who need instant gratification. But if you can be patient, the results are absolutely worth the wait. Just ask any Sculptra patient or check out some before and after photos and you’ll see for yourself
What is the downtime?
There is no actual “downtime.” It’s an out-patient treatment that takes about an hour to perform. When finished, most patients feel that they can go on about their normal day activities. Like dermal fillers, you can experience some swelling at the injection sites that will generally subside in less than a week. Mild to moderate bruising can be a common side effect along with tenderness, itching, and redness.
